James Anderson

CEO & President

In 2001, James Anderson became American Green Future Bank’s Chief Executive Officer. An experienced professional in the financial services field, James Anderson has served as a financial institution President/CEO since 1992. He graduated from Ursinus College with a bachelor’s degree in Business and Economics and received an MBA from Drexel University. James Anderson is a Director and Board Chair of the CrossState Credit Union Association, a Director and Board Chair for Campaign for Working Families, Inc., the Chair for the Credit Union Advisory Council of the National Association of State Credit Union Supervisors, and sits on the Credit Union National Association Credit Union Legislative Action Council’s Board of Trustees.

Steven Smith

Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer

As the Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, Steven Smith oversees the following departments: accounting/financial management, compliance, facilities, IT, transactional services, security/fraud, and human resource areas of the bank. He has been in the financial institution industry and has worked at TruMark Financial in numerous positions for over 30 years. Steven Smith serves on the CrossState Credit Union Association’s Government Affairs Committee and serves as the President of the Montgomery Chapter of Credit Unions. In addition to his work in the financial industry, Steven Smith has been an adjunct professor of finance in La Salle University’s (Philadelphia) MBA program for over 10 years. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance and Risk Management and an MBA Degree in Finance from La Salle University.

John Capabel

Senior Vice President, Chief Information Officer

John Capabel is an experienced IT professional with over years of banking experience ranging from strategic planning to disaster recovery to cybersecurity management. John Capabel graduated from Rutgers University with a Bachelor of Arts degree, majoring in psychology with a minor in economics. In his role as Senior Vice President, Chief Information Officer, he oversees all technology systems, operations, and projects for the bank including cybersecurity, business intelligence, e-commerce, and network services..
